Targeting

Multiple Targets vs Additional Targets

  1. Multiple Targets - attacking more than one target using the same attack. Your Kai will not attack the same target twice when using a Modifier that splits your attack.

    • Twin Targets: During battle attack 2 unique targets at 50% PWR.

  2. Additional Targets - attack again, can be the same target or a new one.

    • Potshot: During battle attack again, but at 10% PWR.

Target Chance

The default chance for enemy Kai to target a member of your faction is the same for all members. However, the target chance for individual Kai can be increased or decreased relative to the rest of the group. An increase in target chance can be seen as a way to draw attention to yourself, while a decrease in target chance can be seen as a way to stay out of the spotlight. It's important to keep in mind that these changes in target chance are relative to the rest of the group, not absolute values. Some modifiers that effect target chance:

  • Berserker: During battle attack up to 3 unique targets at 40% PWR, but increase the chance of being targeted by +20%.

  • Fusion Shield: During battle reduce the damage taken from any hit by 50%, but increase your chance of being targeted by +25%.

  • Longshot: During battle attack at 80% PWR and reduce the chance of being targeted by -40%.

Examples:

  • A Kai using Berserker increases the chance to draw more attacks from an enemy faction. To protect the Berserker Kai, using several Kai with Fusion Shield can be helpful. The Fusion Shield Kai can potentially draw attacks that would otherwise be directed at the Berserker Kai, reducing the amount of damage taken.

  • If you have a squad of Kai all using the Longshot modifier, they will not receive a greater reduction in their chance of being targeted. In fact, they will all have the same reduced chance of being targeted. To make the most of this modifier, consider using it on only a few of your Kai rather than the entire squad.
