Execution Steps

The execution phase consists of 6 steps as demonstrated in the following diagram:

Step 1: Preparation - PREP modifiers are activated in the zone the Kai occupies.
Step 2: Deployment - Kai either move to their chosen zones or hold their currently occupied zone based on their submitted command.
Step 3: Battle - For any zone that is now contested, all BATTLE modifiers are activated in the zone and Kai engage each other in combat.
Step 4: Retreat - For any zone that is contested, Kai return to their originating zones.
Step 5: Sudden Death - If the zone that Kai have retreated to is now contested, a new battle takes place where Kai continue to engage each other until the zone is not longer contested.
Step 6: Salvage - SALVAGE modifiers are activated in all zones.
