How does Stache work?

Think of Stache as your flexible "bank account." Any wallet you use—desktop, phone, or Ledger—acts like an ATM for easy deposits and withdrawals. And like a bank account, Stache goes beyond just holding your assets. It allows you to manage subscriptions, pay bills, and seamlessly interact with other services, all without the need for manual intervention. Stache is like having a virtual assistant that handles your financial tasks effortlessly.

Do I need pay any $SOL when I create my Stache?

Yes. When you create your Stache on the Solana blockchain, you need to pay $SOL as a fee. This fee is required because creating and maintaining an account on the blockchain requires resources. Think of it like paying a small amount for the service of creating and setting up your Stache account. We recommend having at least 0.02 $SOL in your wallet to cover the cost.

What is Bazaar?

Our flagship feature, Bazaar, enables you to sell items directly to buyers. As soon as you create your Stache, you gain access to your personal shop, allowing you to sell digital assets on your own terms.

How do I buy items & collectibles

A Stache account is not required when buying items & collectibles.

  1. Connect your wallet by pressing Connect wallet.

  2. Next, press Buy Now and approve the transaction.

Note: You need $SOL when transacting on the Solana blockchain. Even if the listing is not in $SOL, you still need $SOL for fees. Before the item can find its way into your possession, your wallet also needs enough $SOL to automatically create a new token account in your wallet.

What fees do I pay when I list items & collectibles?

In a traditional setup, a bazaar collects fees or rent from vendors. This covers various expenses like maintenance, facilities, and security.

Here's how rent works in Stache's Bazaar:

When you list an item for sale in Bazaar your Stache makes a new account for it.

You pay $SOL for the creation of the new token account for the item you list. Think of it as paying rent for placing your item on display in a designated area of the bazaar.

The cost can vary depending on the size of the token account. The item remains there until it sells or if you delist. When the token account associated with a successful sale is closed, we collect the rent.

If you choose to delist your item, the rent instead goes right back to you!

Where do I go to share, update, or remove a listing?
  1. Connect to Stache with your wallet.

  2. Select Bazaar from the bottom bar.

  3. In the top right corner press the Storefront icon to access your shop.

  4. Select the item you want to share, update, or delist.

  5. In the top right-hand corner press the Triple Bar icon.

Press Copy link for a sharable link.

Press Update to enter a new price and description, confirm by pressing Update Listing.

Press Delist to remove a listing. Confirm by pressing Yes, continue. To finish delisting approve the transaction from your connected wallet.

Note: Items with the Compressed (cNFT) type cannot be updated at this time.

What's the difference between my Stache, connected, and linked wallets?

Your connected wallet is the wallet you're using when connected to your Stache.

Stache is your on-chain smart account.

Linked wallets are the other wallets that you have linked to Stache, but are not presently using to interact with your Stache.

Your Stache and connected wallets (and later your vaults), are the only wallets that you can perform actions with at any given point in time. You'll be able to send things to your linked wallets, but otherwise you'll only be able to view their contents.

Can I add a wallet to multiple Staches?

Yes and no.

Stache works with a "domains" concept, and a wallet (key) can only be linked to one Stache per domain (the Stache app currently uses a single domain). So if you want to link your wallet to a different Stache, you'll need to remove it from the current Stache first.

However, it'll be possible for projects and companies to set up their own domains, at which point it'll be possible to create new Staches with the same wallets, under the new domains.

How can I make a deposit into my Stache wallet?

To stash tokens, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Home.

  2. Select your connected wallet from the drop down

  3. Select the token you want to store

  4. Press the Stash button.

  5. Enter the amount of tokens you want to store.

  6. Press the Continue button and approve the transaction.

By stashing tokens in your Stache wallet, you are securing them from potential hacks or other security risks associated with storing tokens on a connected wallet.

How can I make a withdrawal from my Stache wallet?

To unstash tokens, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Home.

  2. Select your Stache wallet from the drop down

  3. Select a token in your Stache wallet.

  4. Press the Unstash button.

  5. Enter the amount of tokens you want to withdraw to your connected wallet.

  6. Press the Continue button from and approve the transaction.

By unstashing tokens, you can move them back to your connected wallet or linked wallet for trading or other purposes.

How do I send funds?

To send tokens, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Home.

  2. Select the token you want to send from either your Stache wallet or connected wallet.

  3. Press the Send button.

  4. Select an address or press Add New User to add a new address.

  5. Enter the amount of tokens you want to send.

  6. Press the Continue button and approve the transaction.

After issuing your transaction to the Solana blockchain, confirmation times typically take less than a minute, but may vary.

Can I send tokens directly to Stache and are there any limitations?

Tokens can be sent to your public address located below your StacheID on the Home tab.

Sometimes when you try to send tokens to Stache, you might encounter an issue where a wallet doesn't allow you to send a token that has never been in your Stache wallet.

If you run into this problem, don't worry! This happens because current wallets aren't yet built to interact with smart accounts.

A quick workaround is to stash the same token from a connected wallet, which will automatically create a new token account for you in your Stache wallet.

Now, you can easily send tokens to your Stache wallet without any issues.

At this time, NFT collectibles can only be sent from a connected wallet.

Where can I find my Stache public address?

Go to Home. Your public address is located below your StacheID at the top of the screen.

Where can I find my seed phrase & private key for my Stache wallet?

Due to the nature of Solana programs, your Stache doesn't have a seed phrase or private key (a good thing!).

But to ensure that you don't lose access to your Stache, we recommend that you link multiple wallets in case you lose your first. You'll always be able to access your Stache using any of your linked wallets.

Does Stache store private keys or seed phrases of linked wallets?

No, you’ll never be asked to provide a private key or seed phrase for a linked wallet, and your Stache can never access the contents of any of your linked wallets without your direct approval.
